I saw a friend of mine wear a Belly Hugger recently and think it is pretty clever. Now you can nurse without exposing your midriff and keep everything warm at the same time. They also recommend it for pregnant mothers who don’t want a gap between their tops and pants. Niiiiiiiiiiice!

Sometimes I have to write about an item of clothing for pregnant mamas that seems to be absolutely on target. Rock Star Moms have come out with a line of really cute skirts that seem ultra comfortable and wait for it…. kind of cool and beautiful too. Love the intro to their website too.

Belly Dance Maternity is a Chicago-based business that now has physical stores in Illinois (Highland Park) and New York (West Village). They carry all the staple designer favorites like Chaiken, Sefontaine, Habituel, Juliet Dream, Maternal America and Japanese Weekend but I was particularly into their newly acquired line, NOM - an LA based maternity fashion line. It seems reasonably priced and they’ve got some cute stuff.

Bella Materna’s nursing/maternity bra’s are not for everyone. I ordered one of their styles online and found it didn’t give me enough support on the side but a friend of mine loves their stuff. I also didn’t try on all their products. It’s complicated buying maternity/breastfeeding bras without being able to go into a shop and try them on. Still, their bras really are the most beautiful on the market and if you are lucky, they might work for you. They also design some interesting “transitionwear” for ladies…
