Several weeks before my first child was born I had a breastfeeding class that was an absolute revelation. I was rather nervous about the prospect of putting a baby to the breast. Maybe I couldn’t do it? So many stories of women who had problems, mastitis, babies rejecting their mother’s boobs, not having enough milk…. A woman from La Leche League came to talk and I remember the first thing she said. “99.9% of women can breastfeed, even women with inverted nipples can breastfeed. If you are having a hard time breastfeeding, get help.” Enough said. If you have a problem. Call up these ladies.
