Ergo Baby Carrier - Sling

carrierbaby3.jpgThe thing about slings is that a) it needs to be comfortable b) easy to assemble c) comfortable for baby. I bought the Ergo baby carrier because I wasn’t particularly enamored with the Baby Bjorn and I wanted something that would really support my tired shoulders. The only downside is that you can’t carry the baby facing forward, but you can carry her on your back and side and they have a special insert for newborns which during the New York winter kept my baby nice and snug. You also don’t need to slip the baby’s legs through legholes in the beginning which for a newborn is not a natural position (they want to be cross legged and fetal). They retail around $90 and the insert is another $25.
